SENIOR C CAMOGIE SEMI-FINAL

January 17, 2020

St Colm's Draperstown......4-6
Our Lady's Newry..............0-5

Despite the elements of wind and extreme cold, St Colm's have reached their second Ulster Schools' camogie final of the season, with a hard fought win over Our Lady's Newry on Wednesday at MUSA.

Our Lady's elected to play with an extremely strong breeze in the first-half. They had their fair share of possession and scored four points.

St Colm's braced the elements and despite stringent defending from their opponents, they ended the half with a flourish.

Aoife Doyle scored 1-2, with Sara Lagan adding point before Aine Doyle finished the half with a fortuitous goal, giving them a 2-3 to 0-4 advantage.

The Newry side added a point from a close range free early in the second-half but eventually the Derry girls found a period of control.

It was rewarded with goal each from inside forwards Aoife Doyle and Sara Lagan.

Sinead McGuigan was among the St Colm's point scorers as they clinched a final spot against Sacred Heart, also from Newry.

Despite the winning margin, St Colm's were made had to work extremely hard for all their scores against a determined Our Lady's defence.
